This is another scary item I found online. I hate hearing all this bad news and I’m sure you do, too. But hey if we ignore it, it doesn’t go away, right? Knowledge is power, that’s what I believe. So I’m passing all this horrible stuff along. Here is the newest item from the Independant UK, Britains’ premiere online newspaper. They have really good journalists who do all the leg work and get the facts. I just pass it along to you.

The thing is, this was put online in June. So just how bad is it now? According to the article, by the end of summer there won’t be any ice at the North Pole! I mean, that’s the closest hard line I’ve heard on global warming. At first they were saying it would be 50 years, then it was 20 years, then it was around 10 years. Now it’s like right now. I don’t know how I feel about all the predictions that the world is done in 2012, but if all this stuff I’m reading is correct, the predictions might prove true. Cross your fingers and do everything you can to “not make the problem worse”. And check this horror story out: Read More…

MIT is at it again. I have recently reported on their Solar Energy studies and breakthroughs and here I am again, bringing more good news! They are spot on it, making big breakthroughs and discoveries in the develop of alternative energies. I am glad that the Universities and Technical Colleges are using their brilliant students and inherent genius engineering teachers to further this invaluable and necessary technology. If the future turns out to be truly green, we will have MIT to thank among others.

This article is already everywhere online. I found mine at Care2 but it is posted all over the place from Computerworld to mixx.com. But just in case you haven’t seen it, here it is: Read More..

I read this in the science section of the New York Times and I think it’s really scary. I have always believed that the health of the ocean reflects the health of the planet and this information is frightening. What of our food and water supplies? If we don’t blow it all up with war.. and as we evolve into more compassionate and thoughtful people, war is less and less likely on a global scale… then we are going to starve to death or run out of water and dry up like prunes.

Without water there are no plants and without plants very little food sources are possible. Even meat eaters rely on grass and grains to feed their foodstuffs. As a veggie, my first thought is “no grains!” without water. But it affects all of us, across the board, no matter who and what we are. This is where power over others and big pockets don’t make a damn bit of difference. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

I wanted to pass this along to my readers, who are thinking and caring people. This is big news, even if the mainstream press basically ignores it. Read it and weep…. and maybe think about what you can do to stop it, or , at least, prepare for the outcome. Read More…
